Students Win Big at Advertising Awards Ceremony
The University's senior graphic design students took top awards at the 2018 annual Northeastern Pennsylvania American Advertising Awards (ADDY) ceremony, which was held at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel, Scranton, Pa.
Emmanuel Adjei, Philadelphia, Pa., won the Gold Award for his poster, titled “Sounds of London.” As the Gold Award recipient, Mr. Adjei will advance to the student district competition, which includes New York, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Samantha Costa, Franklin Square, N.Y., and Niki DiGaetano, Stroudsburg, Pa., merited the Silver Award for their ad campaign team project, and Ms. Costa, Ms. DiGaetano, and Dedra Congdon, Hop Bottom, Pa., won a Silver Award for their magazine team project.

Fall Theatre Production: Mad Forest by Caryl Churchill (Oct. 3-6)
The Marywood University Music, Theatre, and Dance department will present Mad Forest by Caryl Churchill as its major fall theatre production. Performances will run from Thursday, Oct. 3, through Sunday, Oct. 6.
