Doctoral Student Presents at Values and Leadership Conference
Yerodin Lucas, a doctoral student in the University's Ph.D. in Human Development Program, recently gave a presentation, “Challenges and Potential Solutions toward Persistence in Earning a Baccalaureate Degree for Black Male Students Attending Predominantly White Institutions,” at the Consortium for the Study of Leadership and Ethics in Education (CSLEE)’s 22nd Annual Values and Leadership Conference in Los Angeles, Calif. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mr. Lucas is a graduate of Arcadia University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations, and he holds a master’s degree in education from Temple University. He also has studied abroad, teaching and traveling in North America, Europe, and Asia. Mr. Lucas, who serves as the president of Marywood’s Graduate Student Council, is presently pursuing his doctoral degree in the Ph.D. Program in Human Development at Marywood University.
