Ryan Scavnicky (Scav) is the founder of Extra Office, a design practice engaging media to uncover new channels for architectural content.
Scav studied at L'Ecole Speciale d'Architecture in Paris, DAAP in Cincinnati, and SCI-Arc in Los Angeles. He has worked as a designer at GBBN in Beijing, SB in San Francisco, studioTECHNE in Cleveland, and Coop-Himmelb[L]au in Vienna.
He served as the Visiting Teaching Fellow at the School of Architecture Founded by Frank Lloyd Wright as the Taliesin Fellowship in 1932, an experimental graduate school located in the Arizona desert. Scav has previously held appointments at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio State University, Kent State University, and SCI-Arc.
