Wow, where do I begin! I have been coming to Marywood for as far back as I can remember. The first vivid memory is in the summer from 5th-6th grade, I attended a music camp called Camp Crescendo. Coming from a very talented musical family and such engaging parents, I was always at Marywood throughout grade-school participating in numerous ensembles, classes, and other programs they had to offer. This helped me become acquainted with the lovely and friendly staff and students in the music department here. As I grew up through the North Pocono School District, every hobby I continued my Marywood extracurriculars. My senior year, I was driving to and from Marywood 4 times a week!
When that time in my senior year of high school came and I had to pick a college, it soon became clear that I was a Pacer, and that I had been for quite some time. When I got to my freshman orientation over the summer, I was pleasantly surprised with how many people knew my name and were just calling out "Hi Fred!" A large part of that is much thanks to my older sister, Ellie, who is a year ahead of me here and was on the orientation team that year. Her presence made me feel comfortable right away which led me to be able to be myself immediately. I met my roommates and some life long friends in just the one day there, and hit the ground running to start my Freshman year at Marywood. I picked up a work study in the Office of Student Engagement where I met my mentor on this campus who has pushed me and helped me grow more as a person in 2 years than I ever have in my entire life. Now, I am a Student Government Executive, a student athlete with the men's tennis team, have multiple work studies, on the orientation teams, am the commissioner of the Marywood Intramural Basketball League with Ian Kovatch, and am involved in many more amazing areas and groups. My schedule here is jam packed, but it is all things I absolutely love doing and have 0 complaints about.
