Marywood University is hosting its annual Giving Day on March 26, 2025, a 24-hour fundraising event to unite alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the University to come together and make a meaningful impact through charitable donations. The theme of this year’s Giving Day is “Ignite the Light” which reflects Marywood’s dedication to empowering the community to reach their fullest potential, shaping the future, and educating the next generation.
Giving Day supports a variety of initiatives that enhance the university experience, including scholarships, music, art, athletics, student programs, and more. Every donation, regardless of size, plays a role in empowering the next generation of leaders.
"Giving Day provides a unique opportunity for all of us to unite around Marywood’s mission and help our students achieve their full potential,” said Mary Stremski, Assistant Director of Annual Giving at Marywood University. “Whether you are supporting a specific program or project, every gift, big or small, makes a difference and helps us continue our work in preparing students for a brighter future.”
As part of the excitement, several alumni and friends have generously pledged challenge gifts, offering matching funds or goal-based incentives to inspire others to give. Participants can amplify their impact by engaging in these special challenges, which can be tracked through the Challenge Board to see how close various projects are to reaching their fundraising goals.
