Marywood University’s John Maurer to Perform National Anthem at Boston Celtics Game

Marywood University is proud to announce that John Maurer, Lecturer of Trumpet and esteemed music educator, has been invited to perform the United States National Anthem at the Boston Celtics game on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the world-renowned TD Garden. The game begins at 8:00 PM and will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports.
Maurer, a critically acclaimed trumpet and flugelhorn artist, will make his NBA debut with his signature rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
“Performing for the Celtics is truly a dream come true,” Maurer shared. “I’m incredibly honored they chose my arrangement for this special moment. All glory to God!”
