Sophomore and junior nursing students, along with faculty and younger members of the campus community, recently participated in a walk with Team Miller-Time to raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and support efforts toward finding a cure.
The event brought together participants of all ages in a shared commitment to advocacy and support for individuals and families impacted by ALS. Organizers noted that experiences like these extend learning beyond the classroom, helping students better understand the importance of compassion and patient-centered care.
The group’s involvement reflects a broader commitment to community engagement and making a meaningful impact beyond campus.
