Students & Faculty Attend Institute of Management Accountants Student Conference

Published

Students from Marywood University’s Accounting and Financial Crime Investigation programs, along with Associate Professor of Accounting Dr. Amy Washo, represented the University at the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) Student Conference on February 28 at King’s College.

Hosted by the Northeast Chapter of the IMA, the conference brought together students from regional colleges and universities majoring in accounting, finance, and related fields for a day of networking, presentations, and hands-on learning. The IMA oversees the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, and Dr. Washo serves as an officer on the board of the Northeast Chapter of the IMA.

Participation in events like the IMA Student Conference allows Marywood students to expand their professional networks, gain insights from industry experts, and apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios, preparing them for success in accounting and financial careers.
