Kevin Farrell brings extensive experience in higher education, student affairs, engagement, and marketing to his role as Associate Vice President for the Student Experience and Dean of Students at Marywood University. Throughout his career, he has focused on building strong relationships with students and creating opportunities that help them feel connected, supported, and successful.
In his current role, Farrell oversees several areas that directly impact the student experience, including Student Engagement, Orientation Programs, Military and Veteran Services, Student Conduct and Community Standards, and campus recreation and intramural programming. He also chairs the University’s CARE Team and works closely with colleagues across campus to support student well-being, respond to concerns, and help ensure the safety of the campus community.
From a student’s first experience with Marywood through graduation, Farrell’s focus remains on helping students succeed both inside and outside of the classroom. He is committed to creating a campus environment where students feel welcomed, involved, and connected to the University community.
Previously, Farrell served as Director of Student Engagement as well as Director of Alumni Engagement at Marywood University; Director of Student Center Services and Assistant Director of Student Activities at Emmanuel College; Assistant Director of Student Access, Transition, and Success at Purdue University; and Admissions Recruiter and Preview Day Coordinator at the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith.
Farrell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing from the University of Arkansas–Fort Smith and a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from Arkansas Tech University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Strategic Leadership and Administrative Studies at Marywood University.
