Dr. Rachael Stevens joined the faculty of the Department of Education in spring of 2019 as an adjunct and then as full time faculty in fall of 2020. Dr. Stevens has accumulated 20+ years experience in a variety of k-12 educational settings, from preschool through higher education. She holds multiple certifications in both North Carolina and Pennsylvania, including Elementary Education K-6 (PA, NC), Family Consumer Sciences 7-12 (PA, NC), Reading Specialist K-12 (NC), Library Sciences K-12 (PA), and Administrative (Principal) Certificate (PA).
She graduated from Bloomsburg University (PA) in 2000 with her BA in Communication Studies, Campbell University (NC) with her M.Ed. in Elementary Education & FACS Education in 2005 and successfully completed her doctoral program in Educational Leadership at the University of the Cumberlands (KY) in 2018.
Dr. Stevens presently an Assistant Professor of Practice and continues to engage in actively learning and professional development to stay up to date in current trends in education.
