Sean Ritter is a designer and educator. He brings a decade of experience in professional practice and pedagogy in both Architecture and Interior Design. His experience in practice has developed through a broad range of work from hospitality projects along the East Coast, to high-end residential, commercial, and civic engagement projects.

This wealth of experience has allowed him to develop a pedagogical approach that celebrates forms of representation that promote students’ curiosity in the poetics of architecture and interior design. His work deals with the experimental rethinking of the precedence of authenticity as a driving factor for how we should build and dwell in a contemporary American city, with an emphasis on the representation and methodology of tracing place, space, and memory.

His passion for education can be traced back to the height of the Covid-19 pandemic when he learned that higher education provided the opportunity to leverage his skills as a designer and educator to advocate for social change. His teaching philosophy is rooted in transparency and accessibility for his students and colleagues - and to provide a safe and accessible learning environment. Sean Ritter holds both his Bachelor's and Master's of Interior Architecture and Design from Marywood University.
