Things to See at Marywood
115-Acre Campus
Marywood was historically named an Arboretum in 1997. In October 2021, Marywood University became a member of the first international cohort of Laudato Si' Universities by the Vatican Dicastery for the Promotion of Integral Human Development, in support of Pope Francis’ 7-Year Journey Towards Integral Ecology—an action-oriented and holistic approach that addresses seven ecological and social challenges in the world.
The Rotunda
From its polished marble floors to its spectacular domed ceiling, the Rotunda, the focal point of Marywood's Liberal Arts Center, is a campus landmark. Finished in 1937 by Roman artist Gonippo Raggi, the historic murals illustrate the history and principles of Christian education. The Hall of Presidents, which displays portraits of all Marywood's presidents, serves as the main entrance to the Rotunda and Liberal Arts Center.
