Summary of Duties:

The Assistant Director of Admission - Slate position oversees the creative and technical processes for the Division of Enrollment Management. Reporting to the Associate Director of Admissions - Slate Captain, the Assistant Director serves as a member of the Enrollment Management team, assisting in oversight for several enrollment applications (e.g. Slate, Colleague, Common App).

Essential Elements:

  • Assist the Slate Captain for Enrollment Management by creating and managing forms and outward reporting (i.e. query building and dashboards); creating and overseeing project management timelines to manage existing applications while scaling to add additional Slate functionality; and managing the annual preparation and project timelines
  • Assist with the import and export processes of external data sources for Admissions (Undergraduate, Graduate, International) and Financial Aid
  • Assist in the management of data integration (using Constituo) between Slate and Marywood's enterprise system (Colleague)
  • Serve as a liaison to Marywood's Information Technology, working collaboratively on the technical aspects of enrollment technology to ensure a smooth transfer of information between Marywood's enterprise systems
  • Work closely with Financial Aid, Housing, and Student Engagement to bring new student forms into Slate and continuously update
  • Assist in overseeing and optimizing communication plans, including email campaigns, event notifications, and applicant follow-up messaging for both domestic and international populations
  • Assess and implement enhancements to improve system efficiency and user experience
  • Stay updated with new features and best practices from Technolutions and plan for system upgrades
  • Assist with the implementation of new workflows
  • Develop expert knowledge on admission policy and procedures while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and processes
  • Assist with training and supporting staff on enrollment related systems
  • Assist with the operational maintenance and data integrity of Admissions databases and platforms
  • Maintain user management and security within Slate and other related software

    GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

    The Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations is responsible for managing relationships with corporate/foundation donor prospects who have the ability to make gifts to support the identified needs of Marywood University. This position is charged with developing and implementing strategies for securing financial support from a portfolio of donor prospects, including identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts for the University.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Identify, develop, and manage a portfolio of active corporate and foundation prospects that provide the resources needed to meet the University's fund development goals.
    • Develop and execute appropriate cultivation strategies including collaboration with University administrators, faculty, staff, and volunteers, as needed.
    • Design and execute effective strategies relative to all aspects of the gift cycle upon identification and initiation of contacts with potential and existing donors.
    • Move donors toward solicitation, including drafting of proposal, proformas, and other necessary documents to advance the solicitation process and closure, along with completion of appropriate stewardship duties.
    • Collaborate with deans and other academic leaders on grants to obtain funding for academic programs, including communicating with foundation representatives regarding programming and funding opportunities.
    • Assist in the corporate and foundation relations goal setting process and contribute to attainment of goals.
    • Develop and implement solicitation efforts to secure financial support from vendors and the regional business community, including corporate sponsorships for academic initiatives, athletic initiatives, and key University events, including Celebrate Marywood.

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (knowledge, skill, abilities):

    • Proven experience in fundraising and in personally cultivating and soliciting prospects.
    • Ability to articulate the case for support.
    • Understanding of the needs and interests of donors to develop mutually beneficial relationships between donors and the University. Possess solid relationship-building skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, research, project management, and written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service donor-centered approach.
    • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.

    ABLE Grant

    • The English as a Second Language (ESL) Instructor will be responsible for teaching one or more classes as part of the ESL program offered by Marywood University both on campus and at community sites. This includes assessing students and planning lessons in alignment with the Pennsylvania Department of Education curriculum and Marywood University.  The ideal candidate will have the ability to motivate and retain adult ESL learners, and must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with outside agencies, students, and administrative staff.  The ESL Instructor is responsible to the Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) Program Director and ESL Coordinator under the supervision of the Assistant to the Provost of Research and Sponsored Programs. 
    • Position requires flexibility in work schedule to accommodate classes that are offered in both the day and evening. In addition to instructional classes, program professional development is mandatory for all staff. Travel to off-site locations for instruction may be necessary and required.  Hours and terms of weeks per year are determined by the availability of State and Federal funding.


    Required Qualifications:

    Description / Summary of Duties:

    Applications are invited for the Head VALORANT Coach position at Marywood University.

    The Head VALORANT Coach is responsible for coaching the coed VALORANT team and achieving competitive success. This involves a variety of coaching-related tasks including but not limited to: assisting with recruiting, player health and conditioning, practice and scrimmage planning and implementation, skill development, scheduling, fundraising, and summer camp assistance. Additional responsibilities will include working with the Director of Esports to fulfill
    any obligations for sports information regarding the team as well as coordinating player development tracking.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Perform all coaching duties in the role as Head Coach (refer to Coaches Handbook for responsibilities).
    • Promote values of academics, sportsmanship, and life values to the VALORANT team members and all student-athletes in Esports and Athletics.
    • Attain competitive success. This team/these teams will be defined and treated as varsity sports.
    • Assist the Director of Esports with recruitment efforts.
    • Formulate and implement practice plans and conduct multiple in-season practice sessions.
    • Represent the Department of Athletics and Recreation in an appropriate and professional manner at all times.
    • Remain in consistent contact and communication with the Director of Esports to inform him of team status, incidents, needs, etc.

    The International Student and Global Experience Coordinator is a full-time position within the Global Initiatives & Programs Division of Marywood University.  This position provides administrative and logistical support to the divisional strategies regarding global enrichment and student experience.       The Adult Basic Literacy Education Instructors will be responsible for teaching one or more classes as part of the ABLE program offered at Marywood University.
